Brief Introduction of the Recent status

Northern Region Senior Citizens' Home, Ministry of the Interior (NRSCH) is located between Hsien-Tian and Wu-Lai. Covering more than 9,000 pings (1 ping = 6 feet square), the whole area is a basin surrounded by green mountains and by the side of lakes. The shape of this area appears as a blossoming lotus. The fresh air and pleasing views are served to release and delight the mood. This district is ideal for senior citizens.

Past History

NRSCH has a long history and is well-established. It was founded in 1946, and then called Taiwan Almshouse. In 1976, the title was changed as Taiwan Provincial Taipei Homes for the Aged, and situated in Nan-Kang district, Taipei. In the year of 1985, the institution was moved to the current location, Hsien-Tian. It did not acquire its present name of the "Northern Taiwan Elder's Home, the Ministry of the Interior" until 1999 and became to be under MOI.
